Bob & Sue CooperMeet Local Future Retirees: Bob & Sue Cooper
Before taking over the helm at Hope Bay Bible Camp, Bob was a Business and Marketing Consultant in Grande Prairie, Alberta and Sue worked as a Medic and Professional Artist.

Bob and Sue took up sailing about 10 years before moving to Pender Island. They explored British Columbia's West Coast extensively by boat before settling on Pender to volunteer at the Camp.

Bob and Sue did not know anyone on the island before the move, however, their involvement with local contractors and businesses helped them get to know the community quickly.

Sue CooperYear Round Sailing and Outdoor Activities
Bob and Sue love sailing and are very fortunate to live in an area where they are able to sail around the Gulf Islands and slip over to Victoria at any time of the year. Sue is also an artist and has no trouble finding interesting subjects on and around Pender.

Clubs and Associations
Having not yet retired, Bob and Sue are very busy but have plans to join some of the many local clubs and associations as time permits. Joining the Yacht Club will be a priority.

Real Estate Experience
Bob says, "We have never been treated better by a realtor than we were by Sherrie Boyte and her team at Dockside Realty. We have had many real estate dealings over the years and our experience here was by far the best and most thorough. Sherrie made sure that we didn't miss a thing and as we were very busy at the time it was a huge help and relief to have her onboard."
