Meet Debbie and HerbMeet Local Retirees: Debbie & Herb
Before retiring to Pender Island, Debbie and Herb had careers in education in the beautiful City of Edmonton, Alberta, and like so many before them, Pender started out as a vacation destination but soon became much more.

Visiting Pender became an annual event and as their visits became longer and longer they became very involved in the community life and made a number of very special friends.

On one of these trips they purchased land as an investment but with no plans to retire. However, when the time came to consider retirement the community and it's lifestyle had become such an important part of their lives that it was only natural they make their residency official by building on Pender.
